What to Expect: Scheduling an Appointment at The EBP

Sarah Restori, BA
Clinical Executive Director, The Evidence Based Practice of Nevada

As the Clinical Executive Director, I work alongside our licensed behavioral healthcare providers and work closely with patients and their families in the coordination and direction of care at our clinic.

If you're considering starting therapy or considering an assessment for you or your child but don't know where to begin, I recommend simply making an initial call to our clinic. This initial call can generally last 10 to 20 minutes and is an opportunity to decide if you want to schedule an initial appointment with one of our specialized providers. Additionally, if we determine it may be more beneficial for you to work with another specialized provider outside of our office with expertise to help you reach your goals, we can assist with appropriate referrals.

Consisting of a team of highly-specialized, licensed behavioral healthcare providers, The EBP team provides comprehensive evaluations and treatment for a wide range of behavioral and mental health concerns across the lifespan. Prior to meeting with one of the providers, an initial phone consultation with our Clinical Executive Director provides you with the opportunity to ask questions, learn about the different services provided at our clinic, and help determine best fit with one of our providers.

Information I might ask for during an initial phone consultation might include:

·       Basic demographics about you or the prospective patient (e.g., name, age, date of birth)

·       How did you hear about us? Were you self-referred or referred by someone in the community or another professional?

·       What difficulties are you currently experiencing?

·        If you’re seeking an evaluation, what are your concerns? Some common concerns include clarifying a diagnosis, developing recommendations for treatment, or evaluating progress of current treatment.

·       Have you previously received therapy or evaluation services in the past?

If an appointment is scheduled, additional demographic information will be gathered over the phone. We will also email an appointment confirmation with appointment details, and consent forms.

I understand that navigating the process for evaluation and treatment can be confusing and often times stressful, and our team is here to assist you during the process.

If you would like to request more information about scheduling treatment or an assessment for you or a loved one, please call us 702-508-9181 or email us at Receptionist@TheEBPnv.com.
